Ronald Maul

I have been welding since I was 14 years old. I have experience with Stick, TIG, MIG, structural steel, pipe welding, and fabrication structural and design. I grew up as a ranch kid, and I built my 1st horse trailer when I was 17 years old. Some hobbies I enjoy include horseback riding, motorcycles, and I like fine arts such as drawing.

In 1974 I joined the Pipefitter Union, and I have worked on powerplants, refineries, and research and development plants. I currently have 48 years of experience and the “welding industry has been very good to me, and I hope it’s very good to the students”.  What I enjoy most about teaching at Western Welding Academy is being able to give the information that I have learned to individuals who want it. “If you have a craft, have a trade, and don’t pass it on, there’s no point in having it”. I enjoy coming to work every day because I enjoy the people I work with and the atmosphere of the entire school.
